Some 1Bs were dedicated Irritating maze boards and some weren't from what I remember hearing. You can still play other games but some games may have problems. I have never come across a 1B that was only IM based but if you do come across this problem you can replace the bios with a different 1B bios or a unibios.
Ah, ok, that's solves my question. Thanks a bunch!

By what you're saying there's no way to tell other than testing the board I assume?
Here is some advice get a 2-slot motherboard because they are perfect to get consolized, you will have a memory card adapter built into it and the joystick ports are also build into them. So you wont need to use a supergun to play with it. My first board was a MV-1B and I couldn't even use it until I got a unibios installed onto it since the input was for the Irritating maze game.
Heh, you saw through my question did you?
Anyway, the thing is I don't like the idea of consolizing multi-slot boards because they make cab usage much more convenient, even if a 2-Slot with LEDs and a powder-coated finish would be mighty badass.
My idea on an ideal (open-faced) consolized machine would be either an 1B, 1A or 1FZ, more preferably the 1B because of it's small size and little Mobo exposure. The only thing preventing the 1B from being perfect IMO is that damned BIOS. If I came across one where it could run some MVS games I'd probably be able to manage for a little bit before needing it's BIOS changed. I don't think I'd ever be able to desolder a chip off a board so I'd likely pay somebody here to do that.
Even then, I don't have any plans right now to buy one thing or another, I'm just further gathering information. If the 1B turns out to be a bad idea I'll move to a 1FZ or 1A since a 1C isn't exactly what I'd want.
