Treasure just doesn't want to have to write a saturn/st-v emulator. Although I remember the official sega one that was hacked a while ago ran the game pretty accurately.

The statement from Treasure was they didn't feel it aged well, and would require a face lift, unlike Ikaruga which they felt was OK for Live as is. That's their hold up. Not emulation.

Well personally, I'd rather see an actual copy of it on disc. More like a special edition of Radiant Silvergun with maybe a 2nd disc of Ikaruga as well in the same package. Now I would buy that up in a hurry, even though I have my copies of the Saturn and Dreamcast games, it still would be nice to have a slightly upgraded version of it. Can you say Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga in HD? HELL YEAH!!

didn't age well? What kind of crack are they smoking? I think the game still looks amazing. Hell all of Treasures games 16-Bit era and up have ages very well imo.

Yeah, but think about the Xbox target audience. Most of us here would think it's still amazing, but not your average kid today. Sad as it may be. People need everything to be "HD" otherwise it isn't worth their time .

While Radiant Silvergun may look good for the system that it was originally on, it really does not meet what the average joe expects for a 3D game today. The polygon count is low and textures are very pixelated. Ikaruga looks a bit more refined since it was on a later system.

If Sony can re-release Jumping Flash and Jet Moto (both of which have pixilated grainy graphics), Treasure can release Radiant Silvergun.

What bothers me about this is that M$ denied Cave's request to port Ketsui and DoDonPachi: BL to the XBLA and said they had to put them on discs if they wanted to release them. Their reason was that they want more original games on the XBLA and no more arcade ports. I guess they feel that the old arcade ports are stealing sales away from the new, original XBLA games, but what they fail to realize is that if most of the stuff they put on the XBLA wasn't total crap then they wouldn't have to worry about games like MS3, Ketsui, and DDP stealing sales. What do they expect when people keep making lemonade stand simulators for the XBLA?

Another sad part about it is that if Ketsui and DDP had been XBLA games, then we could count on them being released in all regions. Now that they are disc based games they'll probably only get released in Japan, which sucks as I don't have a JP 360, and am not sure about buying one because of the RROD and not being able to warranty a JP console. Nothing worse than being stuck with a $400 door stop.

The RROD is caused most of the time by solder points breaking loose on the memory chips due to extremely high temps. Go to a computer store and buy a pack of stick on pc memory heatsinks and throw them on the chips surrounding the processor in your 360. Makes it as RROD proof as its going to get although of course nothing is 100%.....

Microsoft specifically said that they wanted to move away from direct arcade ports. I'm sure the request for RSG also came with an implied "upgrade it to HD graphics", which no doubt explains Maegawa's apprehension.

As for 5pb, you also have to realize that these guys are practically unknown outside of dating sims. They simply don't have Treasure's pedigree. Plus, we're still waiting for their ports to arrive.

At the Shooting Festa held toward the end of October of last year, it was announced that TF6 (for PS2) and DDP DOJ BLEX (for 360) would be receiving international releases.

I had heard about DDP possibly coming to NA, but only that it was a rumor. As for TFVI, I have a JP PS2 and that game already, so I wasn't concerned about that one. When it comes down to it, I have DDP DOJ on PS2 as well...what I really want is freakin' KETSUI!

I've got the DS port, but seeing as it's only a boss rush, I still want the full game!

I also wouldn't mind getting Raiden Fighters Aces, Raiden IV, and DeathSmiles (when it's released). Otomedius G and Shooting Love, 200X would also be nice.

Hell I'd be happy if they just put them on PS3 in Japan, because then I could import them and not have to worry about region locking.

As it stands, I'm probably going to end up with a JP 360 at some point, since it appears to be the shooter console of this generation.

Ikaruga did however get some graphic updates but not on the same scale required for Radiant Silvergun of course or so Treasure would be happy with. Combined with many obstacles it's likely Silvergun won't make it to 360 or any other DLC service for a very long time.

no big deal, you can find a US region patched version of the saturn iso all over the net. all you need to do is burn and then the swap trick.

Coulda shoulda woulda: I wouldn't have minded a remake of RSG and the Gamecube version of Ikaruga (with the DC content) packed into one disc. I wonder if Microsoft would turn something like that down.

Microsoft seems to have taken a bit of a liking to Treasure.

It probably won't happen, but I'd spend 800 to 1200 msp in a heartbeat if it did.

Yeah that would be a great package instead of being sold in XBL Marketplace..
