So I've had this old Shinobi arcade sitting in my basement for like 6 years and it's never worked. Got it in a game lot a long time ago and never spent any time trouble shooting it to see if I can find out whats wrong. I'm pretty incompetent when it comes to the monitor side of things. I've traced the voltage back to the tube but I'm not sure where to go from there. I get nothing on the screen at all and the tube doesn't glow at all but as near as I can tell it's getting juice. Not sure if anyone has any ideas for me. I don't really have any tools aside from my Multimeter though. Thanks for looking!

Model numbers that I've found:
monitor: 19vltp22
monitor board: ECC-20380

Here are some photos, best I can do hosted to photobucket:

you have a 19" wells gardner k4900,if you have 110vac at the voltage input and your game plays blind(i.e you get game sounds) then yes you have a monitor fault
next step is to check for bad solder joints on the chassis,if nothing is obvious then i would suggest a shotgun job on this with a cap kit and maybe a flyback transformer

if you are not a monitor tech then you will need to shotgun this unless you know how to isolate the flyback and check the b+ voltage and also possess a lcr capacitance meter

you can get the parts here

another option is to get a replacement chassis

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll give it another look over and see if any of the solder points seem faulty. Aside from that I may just dump it as is. No use in spending too much money on a machine I'll just get rid of soon anyways. Thanks again!

Nobody makes replacement flybacks for 4900's. The only thing you can do is replace the capacitors, and maybe the HOT and regulator. If it still doesn't work after that, then get a new monitor.

yeah I can probably get a monitor locally for around $140 or so. All the solder points that I can get to easily appear to be solid. But my plan was to get rid of it once I got it working. Guess I don't see too much of a reason to spend moeny fixing it if I don't really know what's wrong with it. New monitor is my only sure bet and that would push over the value of the system in my opinion. Thanks again though for the comments.
