translation question

im kinda new at the neo geo scene, and had heard that the games play in whatever language the system is, not what the game is. is this true? ive got a chance to get either cart systems, the english being about 40 more. just wandering if its worth it. thanks

Yes, the carts are multilingual, and play in whatever language the BIOS of your system is set up for. American cart systems play the games in English, but have censored blood, etc. in the games. Your best bet might be to get the cheaper Japanese system, and have Jeff Kurtz install a debug BIOS chip in it, so you can set it to show blood, play in English, and whatever else you like.

Just do not forget to get a voltage converter if you get the Japanese system. Some people do not bother with one, but I have found it will lead to the early death of your AC adapter.
