The system:
Consolized 1B into a AES shell
Original control ports
Original Stereo headphone
Original Psu imput
Original Din (A/V) output
Extra Composite,S-video and stereo....
Extra RGB control level (inside)
UniverseBios 3.0

Dosent works the amplifier (the board was cut off in there place) and no more Memory card reader....

Now i need apply some skin in the front and buy a Unibios whit the serial number of this shell (yes they are there yet)

As fast i do that i will post more pictures :mr_t:

Final Project Bellow

That is badass, best consolized MVS ever. I thought this was going to be the same guy who posted asking for a consolized XBox in the trading forums.

I thought you folded the 1B to fit in there so why did you have to plug the slot and make a new one? Was it to keep all the original stuff intact?

Looks good though. ;)

Very nice job, is the 1B smaller than the 1C ?
I'm currently making some blue prints for some kind of portable AES system, integrated into some kind of suitcase (with a screen, a battery and a joystick inside).
I was gonna use an AES motherbaord, but i might use a m1c or b for it (its smaller and cheaper)

Yes if you remove the conector from 1B split the system right.....so the next step is solder wires to replace the old conector....After you do that you have a flexible system......

Well Xian in that case ive got two problems....

1-The 1B after remove the conectors is more smaller than 1C...but when you "fold" them, you got a high system.....consequently the AES shell dosent close.

2-I do a new one slot and save the reset button intact in the original place....or use the original slot and try mod the reset button.......

So i decide to preserve the original reset button and used the 1B same like 1C...now the shell can be closed.....

Thanks for all coments.....

I see. I figured that would be the case. Do you by chance have any build pics? I always find build pics cool.

Very sharp looking. It looks almost OEM inside the AES shell. Your cd unit was great as well, but I think I'm partial to this one. Out of curiosity do you own a crt tv to play any of your games on, or just the lcd?

You can do that with a 1B? Everything I thought I knew about needing a 1C is wrong!

Why does everyone have to repaint the AES? I'd like to have one of these that looks exactly like an ordinary AES and uses all the original jacks and buttons, but takes MVS carts.

Well on this one he had to repaint it since the slot was relocated.

You can do it with a 1B but just remember that you need to rewire the connections from each board, that's what Macck did. He posted a pic in strider's thread when he was working on it.

Ah, thanks Xian Xi.

I want to get one that doesn't look custom, that besides the cartridge slot, is indiscernible from OEM on the outside. Imagine taking one like that to a gathering -- a lot of people would probably take all the work that went into it almost for granted.
