Does anyone know if the official RGB SCART cable for the AES is wired to the Japanese SCART standard? Is wiring for European SCART and Japanese SCART(RGB) different? I bought an official cable from ebay a while ago. I think it only gave me composite last time I used it, and some of the connector pins are absent. I also have a more expensive SCART cable from the UK that work fine for RGB.

Member Chaoticjelly also makes custom cables, for many systems.

As for the AES, I'm not 100% sure so hopefully someone will chime in. I do know that Micomsoft (company that makes the XRGB upscan converter) made a rgb adapter for the AES/CD, they pop up infrequently but usually go for a pretty penny.

after looking at the cable it looks like it is probably wired to the Japanese standard. I've found info on the net that says you can use it with the X-RGB and X-RGB2(as they are Japanese products?). Other than that you'd have to rewire it to European SCART, or import a Japanese monitor. Can anyone think of a way to test that it works without doing either of these things? Did the SNK boxed cables have SNK logos on the cable itself?
