Hey guys,

I picked up a 4 slotter not too long ago, and haven't had time yet to address some of the problems with it. Hopefully somebody can help me with them.

The picture in the monitor changes sizes somewhat frequently. It'll shrink or grow too big and cut parts of the image off. It hasn't been anything too drastic, but it's something I'd like to get resolved if possible. I *think* it occurs when the machine is jarred from a hard joystick movement, but I could definitely be wrong there. What reading I've done leads me to believe that it needs a new cap kit, but I haven't read of a situation that seems completely analagous just yet.

The machine also has an electronic "whine' when playing games in the first slot. It almost sounds like it's coming from the monitor when I listen from behind, but it very noticeably changes when switched to a game not occupying the first slot.

Thanks for any help guys, I really appreciate it!

Quick reply.got company over

There may be a loose wire going to the monitor causing the monitor to have issues when bumped around..
Make sure the mobo is screwed down in the machine well and the jamma harness on well

,
The whine most likely is from the Marquee light boards driver..that has to be disconnected from the motherboard.

thanks for the reply.

I'm not mechanically/electrically inclined in the least bit, but my brother is and he'll take a look at this for me.

He thinks he can figure everything out, but if we run into questions I'll definitely make sure and ask.

Thanks again.
