Hey everyone, I have a 4 Slot MVS (the one with the speakers right up top) and I am having problems with the sound coming out of the left speaker. The volume out of the left side is about 50% lower than the right speaker.

Now, I know the speaker itself is fine, I connected it to the right speaker wiring and it sounded fine. Any ideas?

Put a cap kit in it. It's a common problem.

I have a big order for caps going out today and will have the kits back in stock hopefully by year end.

Just one quick question, would it still need a cap kit even if both channels are at equal volumes when listening through the headphone jack?

Are you doing the Sound Test in the hardware Test Menu?

MVS ,I saw wired up in a cab once..The wires to the speakers were from the headphone jacks..I guess the guy had the same problem..
But I'm not sure if that's right so I'd need a confirmation on that.if it works
.........

I had this problen in the Candy Cah..One of the ground wires for the speakers,in the harness seemed to in the wrong place..
Atleast after going over the wiring on the harness I found something wrong and the speakers are equal in sound now...

Yes. The cap kit covers the amplified section. The headphone jacks are before that. If you confirm that your problem isn't weird grounding, you should definitely do the cap kit. It takes a while to install but it's a huge improvement.

It roughly goes from the Yamaha stereo DAC IC to a couple of op-amps... then splits off to the headphone amp circuit and to the speaker output amp circuit...
