Helllllo everybody

Hello everyone. I have been coming to these forums ever since I got interested in buying a Neo Geo cabinet. I have now purchased one and look forward to buying lots of MVS carts from the members here.

Edit: I forgot to get all my nood questions out of the way.

Noob question 1: How do I know what kind of cap kit I need
Noob question 2: I think I need to replace some circuit thing with some nobs on it that adjust brightness and different frequencies and all that. What is that called and if applicable how do I know which kind to get?

Welcome. Congrats on the purchase, may it serve you well!

1. Each monitor model needs a different cap kit, find the model number (look on the chasis) or post a pic of it here and someone will recognize it, or look here to see if you can't id it yourself.

2. Brightness and contrast are usualy controlled by two potenciometers (pots) in the coin door, frequency and horisontal/vertical shift are usualy on the chasis. They can be cleaned with de-oxit (or similar product), but if you really want/need to replace them you need to know what monitor you have first.
