MVS converter working, but no sound???

Ok I went ahead and bent the pins on my neo geo to get the Phantom Converter to work (do it at your own risk). Now she is nice and tight and I am ahead $90! Now there is a quirk with the rca outputs on the converter! I know I didn't cause this when I bent the pins, since it did this before. Whenever I insert a rca plug into the monitor the system resets, but never comes back! As soon as I pull the plug the neo geo startup logo comes back.
Can anyone figure out why it does this? I want sound!
