I've seen these before, I really like the design, but I think plastic cases are more functional.

I noticed that it takes in an input of 220 VAC, so it will not work as it is in the US, without a transformer. Do you modify these when you sell them to the US?

It is an awesome design and looks really nice, but only composite or s-video out? I would want at least component connections.

I think this thing would work better using a harness extender instead of that long ass fingerboard.

It looks nice - but I dont think form should follow function.

Why have only 220v Power supply, is putting a switched 110/220 PS that hard?
BTW - Spazmonkey, I think you need a 'step-up' transformer, not step down. But I could be wrong, I have never used/needed one - but logically you want to step UP 110v to 220v, not step DOWN 220v to 110v.

Why put the Video out right next to the JAMMA connection? I realizie they want you to use this JAMMA extender card, but that seems like a pain in the ass. Keeping the supergun flat and inline with the PCB will require a large flat space. Dont get me started on lack of component video out.

Why put the coin button on the back? Put at LEAST the coin button on the front with the controller. I would put the power switch and the coin button on the front, but thats just me.

And finally, $70 shipping. I dont even want to start on that...

Im just bitching becasue I built a few Superguns and have learned how to do things right.

The one thing that holds people back from buying it is the fact that he doesn't offer shipping insurance. If they lose it, oh well, there goes $200+.

Well, most other superguns are waaaay expensive. I've been looking for the cheapest one I could find that wasn't one of those mkII ones. If I could commission someone, that would be great, but as it is, this is one of the cheapest ones I have seen.

It is a great price, If you do get it I would recommend you also get a jamma harness extender. If that header on the back is an RGB output, you can run an external video encoder or you can just mod the supergun and replace the internal one and add component to it.

I would also wire in the coin buttons to the controller on the select buttons. If possible change the internal PSU as well to one that's usable. That's about it.

Maybe I better get on the stick on finally build some more. I started talking to a machinist friend of mine, I was going to have him cut some of my project boxes on his CAD/CAM - because cutting out DB15 hole with a dremel sucks worse than anything. Once this semester is over, I will have more time.

I just use a drill to cut my DB15 holes in plastic, it's easier than using my dremel.

Where's your kick harness for CPS1/2/3 games?

i'd love to have a nice supergun someday. i've had a couple in my time and they all have problems of some sort or another with video. i'd like to just have a good un that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. i think 150 is a good price and i like the design and case of it. but the coin should be on the front also itd be nice to not have to pay 70 bucks to ship it

I use a inline DB15 to DB15 to add the other buttons for CPS1 / CPS2. That inline adapter is not shown in the pics

On my next supergun I will try and add a kick harness plug on the SG itself - I just need to figure out the wiring in my head and put it down on paper, should be a snap though.
