I have been pondering the idea of having my Halo Edition Xbox modded with hdd and all the "bells and whistles". How much does something like this cost? Also, can anyone recommend me someone that will do an excellent job of this? I do not plan on going on live since I have my 360.

Thank you!

Not to deter anyone from replying, but Xbox modding is very simple, even if you have the later model Xboxes like the Halo version. The chips are somewhat cheap and really easy to install. I've done a few and they really aren't that difficult, AND im not a certified solderer. You should try it yourself, you'd save money on shipping the box to someone and shipping back, etc.

I agree, give it a go yourself. If you have a soldering iron and a torx screwdriver set your basically good to go. The good chips are all socketed so you just solder in the socket (easy, anyone could do this) and push the chip into it.

I would do it for you but I have no chips on hand and I assume you'd want a bigger hardrive and a new dashboard etc... It wouldn't be cheap.

you can also softmod your xbox - its super easy, it wont cost you a penny plus you dont need to do any soldering whatsoever.

You dont need to soldier anyting get the a no solder chip, I have installed these in 10 boxes years and years ago they are all still going fine. But if you like me I just as well pay someone else then to spend the time looking for all software, ordering etc. I will pm you with info on a installer.
