So I went to the official KOFUM website and checked out the character section, and there's a little extra link for Nameless, and it turns out he has a backstory written for him. Might be adapted from that for K9999. NESTS took took the DNA from K' and began using it to create further clones, in hopes of further refining what made him superhuman. To be precise, there were 9,999 of these clones, referred to as the "K' Children" (that's Kay-Dash Children, for those who still don't know how to pronounce the name). Most of these displayed abilities identical to K', and were subsequently eliminated, but one displayed further potential, and so they continued working with him, in what they called "Project Ж" (pronounced "Zheh"), further enhancing his powers. And thus, though he was given no name, he is code-named "Ж Prime," or "Zhe Prime."

Edit: There's a lot more there, but I haven't translated it all.

Well, the implication is that the other 9,998 were summarily disposed of.

THIS! IS! NESTS!

Or something like that.
