I just tried my New Phantom-1 Converter today with an MVS game and I got this message on the screen.

The game starts up with the usual jingle and start up Neo Geo Progear Spec Giga Power beginning then it goes to that screen.

Does anyone know what this means? I have tried the game in an MVS cab and it worked perfect in the cab but not in the Phantom-1.

With my joystick and buttons I can change some of the numbers under display memory but I dont think that will help.

I got the same kind of message the other night and took the game out of the Phantom and put it back in and it was okay. It may be the connection!?! Hope this helps, but you probably already tried that! :)

This basically looks like the osd after a 68000 address error. In laymans terms the 68000 encountered an error, most likley cause is info travelling from cart to 68000 on neogeo pcb became currupted due to incorrectly inserted cart or dirty pins.

I've had the same problem with my Phantom1, mine was definitely due to dirty connectors. Once I cleaned my carts I haven't gotten that error since.

It looks like I'll have to try cleaning my Phantom-1 and the game. They both look very clean so I never bothered cleaning them yet. loco

Actually they both look brand new but I'll try cleaning the contacts anyways.

Thanks,
Robert
