What eproms are suitable to replace mask roms D23C4001 & 8001
I can not seem to find a good reference.

How many pins? 32?

If so, use a 27C4001 and 27C801 from ST

Or... 27C040 and 27C080 from others...

Yes they have 32 pins
Its for an Irem In the Hunt (metal slug under water :) )

i wouldent call it a underwater metal slug its far from it other than mabey a close graffix style its more like darius,gradius

It's not grammar I'm bitching about, just the general lack of a poor argument from your side. It looks like a drunken 9 year old wrote your post.

PS. It's "loser" not "looser." Looser is an adjective, whereas you were looking for the noun, "loser."
PPS. It's "grammar" not "grammer."
PPPS. It's "queens" not "queen's" as the word is not being used possessively, but rather the plural form.
PPPPS. If you had any clue what you were talking about, you'd realize that it is indeed under water Metal Slug.
