Can we lose the :rolleyes: smiley?

It serves no useful purpose and anyone who uses it looks like a twat in the process.

OK, scratch that, maybe it is useful for weeding out twats but it still should be axed.

Not a big smiley fan in general, but really, there's a hundred better ones than that one out there and I'd be happy to see basically anything else take its place.

Personally, I'd like to see some better-looking directional/joystick and button icons put into place. The ones in there now are amateurish and detract from the look of the site.

As for the :rolleyes:

, it seems to serve a more useful function than stuff like :multi_co:

(which mostly can't be seen on the dark background), :mr_t:

(which is just lame), :eek_2:

(which conveys more amusement than annoyance, in my mind), or :vik:

. I've seen a few good ones on some other forums, though.

You can't see the little anime vein-bulge or whatever it's supposed to be on a dark background. Either way, it's lame.

Oh, not denying that. But I still hold that the joystick/button diagrams look crude and should be replaced by something a little more refined, given the basis of the forum.
