I have a daewoo 27 inch tv. Its only a couple years old and the power supply went bad. Could I use the tube in my arcade cabinet?

If the crt size and the pin out are the same yes.
But if you dont know what you are doing I would not recommend playing around with CRTs.

Also the suitability of the deflection yoke is an issue of course.
If your not experienced with crts do not play around with them, there are potentialy lethal voltages involved.
To answer the original question- yes it is possible.

I just wondered, it would be a lot of work. It is setup for a 19 inch now. I would have to modify the cabinet.

You would also need a new monitor.
You couldnt drive a 27" crt with a 19"monitor pcb.

Scan frequency(ies) will be different. Also the sync will be a problem.

Not trying to put you off :)

Even if you have an RGB input TV it will not work because the horizontal and (maybe) vertical syncronising frequencies will be incorrect.

I know for a fact that you can use a TUBE from a TV to replace a TUBE in a monitor, but you have to know what your doing, you can't just use any tube, and there is some work involved.

Not easy to do, easier to just buy a new monitor. And no I have no clue how to do it.
