I didn't care for the japanese original...but this one seems to have a lot more content. I'll give it a go.

Also, whoever did that write up incorrectly said that this was the first KOF collection in the states....I guess 00-01 and 02-03 don't count? :annoyed:

Yeah and those psx versions of KOF 95 and KOF 99 they seem to have forgotten about as well. Actually the gameplay and controls sucked so bad I'd like to forget they were on the psx too.

I played it....it's alright. Honestly, I don't think it's anything special. But I do like the super bargain price of snk games here.

the JP ver of this is almost perfect except for the sound quality.

Fantastic alternative but nothing like the original.

I will buy both the PS2 and PSP versions. One for the rig at home, the other for my frequent travels.

The PSP port is horrible. Massive loading, voice sample glitches, and pauses IN THE MIDDLE of a round make this game not worth the pickup, at least on the PSP.

Inferior Ports.

How is it that the roms are so well emulated on the PSP and yet an official product is lacking so horribly?!

Let's not start with the whole SNKP shit, let's just be analytical here for a change, please?

I guess just stick with the original carts then. Not that I'm complaining I'll probably pick it up out of the $10 bin when it becomes available here.

I'll buy both for whatever they cost now, only 'cause I have this silly thing in my head that tells me to support the video game company I love the most in this world and show my loyalty buying anything they bring to the US for the only purpose that perhpas when they release somethign good they will actually bring it here as well. Unfortunately things are not to par on this later re-releases, but aw fuck it!

Not for what it is. Is like saying that the two SF games for the GBA are horrible ports. It would be not only preposterous but also silly to think anything CPS2 can be ported to a SNES cart without compromises.

I agree. However, considering that these games can be emulated perfectly on this system, there is no excuse for such horrible play.

Yeah, I thought so too, but my previous post was about the SFA2 for SNES.

Do I have to go back to the hell again?
Warms my heart to know that on this board, if nowhere else, there'll always be folks who "just get it" when I ask this question. Gives me the same cathode-ray-ish glow I get when my requests to know "What is this place?" are met by Ancient Flounder's unhesitating response, advising me to "Keep your eyes peeled." Shared pop culture is always the best kind.:mr_t:
