Im on the on the fence about an mvs game i want to buy, waku waku 7. The price guide says 50 to 70$ but when i asked the guy the basic questions about the cart and his answer was "Well the label on the cart is unreadable..the ingame dialog is in english, and i cant tell if its a bootleg or not." what should be my top dollar?

The only way to check if it's a boot is to open it up and look at the pcbs. if seller puts up pictures of the pcbs you can post them in the boot or no boot section on this forum, so people here can tell you if it's boot. If the seller doesn't want to show photos of the pcb boards, then you would just have to assume it's a boot.
Some people here think boots have little or no value. They're also hard to resell. The label condition doesn't matter as much as whether it's a bootleg or not. English dialog just means their Neo system is European or American, doesn't indicate whether it is a boot.

Yeah, like the guy said, the only way to tell if it's a boot is to take a look inside and see if the boards are legit. The game will play in English regardless of label if the mvs hardware has an english bios (or set in the Unibios). Also from past experience, just because the price guide says it's worth that much doesn't mean it's not worth more or less.

Seriously Jack, pick up Tomcat's WW7. No worries about buying a boot or not, and you'd be hard pressed to find one in better shape.
