help with video on super nova (scart)

i have a euro scart tv, i am using the 8 in 1 rgb scart cable. I dont have a sega genisis anymore so i hacked the end off to use with my super gun. I get a picture but there is a greenish color distortion and its not quite rgb, like other console. What am i doing wrong i wireed it up the way the diafream shows. And i am coming straight off the jamma harness, should i run it thru the rgb converter( i think that what it is, it has 3 gain knobs) or should i go straight off the jamma harness.PLZ HELP..........NEONUT
