MOTW is a wonderfull game, to make a choice between that and SVC would be preposterous as they are entirely different in the sense of fighting games.
SvC is not for everyone that's for sure, but I'm not gonna bash on those that dislike it or make ignorant comments about it (this time), but keep in mind that SvC is about heated matches with the pletora of the later school fighting game engines in an old school setting.
Collisions are a problem mostly with Hugo and Geese, but once you find the rythim of the game you'll begin to understand why, the challenge is larger and to be profficient you need to be more accute with space, footsies and contorl of the fight. SvC is not about the selfconfidence that couples mainstream fighting games or better yet fluent games like MOTW, 3rdS and so on. SvC is about self reliance, you cannot depend on the engine at all, you make a mistake you will pay for it in spades and there's no such thing as safe play, because SvC is extremely unpredictable.
Those who know what I'm talking about play the game and any other game in the same manner, those who don't grasp the concept now unfortunately never will. SvC is for the folks who love the game for the intensity of the fight, not the ease of use, input forgiveness or flexible block (hit) detection. I mean think of it this way; Supercancels Galore at a cost is a high that needs to be explored in more ways than one. Not many games offer this and the ones that do are missunderstood as well.
MOTW is a superb game for veterans and newbies alike and so is SvC, the thing is how far out of the line are you willing to go?
