I like the feel of Area 88 and Blazing Star the most out of the shooters I have. Im looking for a face paced game, I dont have tate so please dont recomend anything in that direction. I also only have about $50 to spend. I need advice so I dont get a crappy board.

The 360 port will only cost a little bit more than $50.

So I guess no one has any good advice as to what to get. Must not be alot of cats into horizontal arcade shooters.

Well....the question is what hori shooter can you get for $50?

Very few playable arcade games are less than $50. A shooter(hori or vert) is almost always more expensive.

If you have a neo board, try Blazing Star($60-$80) or Andro Dunos($60ish)

I honestly can't think of ANY hori shooters that sell in the $50 price range.

Why not try Aero Fighters 3? Shock Troopers & 2nd Squad are within your budget as well, they are not really shmup though.

If you look hard enough Sol Divide can be found for around $50, damn the haters it's like a spiritual sequel to Lords of Thunder with some interesting melee combat mixed in. Once you get the hang of it, it can be damn fun and challenging.

Last Resort can be had for $50 or so, Aero Fighters 2 maybe. Sidearms, Rabio Lepus, Thunder Cross...there's alot out there.
