I've finally done it. Well, kinda... I got my home MVS setup to work. I got a 2 slot in a custom cut wooden case (cut by me :D ). It's like a giant SNES. There are 4 video outs(RGB, Arcade monitor RGB, Composite and S-Video). Only problem is, sound. I use the JAMMA harness for the sound out. Only thing is, it's mono out. When I plug it into stereo recievers I only get 1/3 the sound. Only my mono TV accepts the full signal but I don't want to damage the TV by plugging in a pre-amplified sound input. Is there any way to split the signal into stereo? Or am I doomed to use only mono speakers?

Well you can split it but you wont get true stereo, just 2 speakers instead of one.
Congrats!

You might be able to do a few modifications to yout jamma harness to get stereo out of it, but doing then will mean that you won't be able to use normal jamma games anymore. Check www.hardmvs.com for some more info.

So you want mono sound from 2 speakers...right?

well, you can connect 2 speakers either serially or in a parallel way... remember, however, that the Jamma standard requires 8 ohm total impedence and if you do the serial connection you'll have to get two 4 ohm speakers (4 ohm + 4 ohm = 8 ohm), if you do the parallel connection you must have two 16 ohm speakers (16/2 ohm = 8 ohm).

Serial: + from Jamma harness to + on one speaker and - from Jamma harness to - on the other speaker and then connect the remaining - and + of the speakers together.

Parallel: + and - from the Jamma harness to + and - of one speaker and from there to + and - of the other speaker.
