I got this Tekken 5 Dedicated Cabinet a couple days ago from a PC Arcade operator (must not have been earning well) It has a few issues, but overall works well. I'm looking for a manual or any tech help (posted in the tech forum as well). Only issue is the card feeding mechanism doesn't work.

Here are pictures I took today after a good cleaning.

The monitor is Hi-res 31K. Got both card readers working now. :D

Nice Cab,
I saw one of these in the arcade at the mall and was infatuated with it. Like an American version of the net city. For some reason I thought they used an hd tv for the monitor. Not sure why.
Anyway, what kind of monitor does it have(brand, dimensions). does it do standard and med res also. How much did you get it for. I think that is a sweet acquisition. You gonna keep it Tekken 5 or try a conversion?

Also I'd like to know how to lower the cabinet to sit-down height if anyone can help.

Why?

If you don't want to stand up, buy some stools or buy a candy cab.

Please don't ruin that beautiful beast.

I have two candy cabs and use stools while playing both (check my profile). I'm going to move the cab into my office with the rest of my arcade stuff and would prefer the cab at sit-down height so I don't have to buy extra stools for it. The cab height is adjustable, there are locking bolts on the side supports that say "up" position and "down" position, so it won't ruin the cab. :D As far as I can see, it's just the two bolts that secure it in upright or sitdown position. I'm going to have a friend come by tomorrow to help.

@Arcade ben,

I'm probably going to keep it as a Tekken 5 cab. It is in about 98 to 99% condition. Just some scuffs on the lower metal side panels. All the decals and stickers are perfect. Everything is working except the card "feeder", going to try and fix it, but if not, oh well. Wouldn't mind upgrading it to Dark Ressurection if I could find it.

I got the cab for a steal, 500 bucks. It seems like the guy just wanted it gone. He operates a PC arcade and no one seemed to play it. The card readers had issues 'cause someone stuck some change in one of them. :loco: He didn't seem to know much about the cab, but said it cost him 6,000 when he bought it new a few years ago. This is probably the best find I've had. :D

Edit: I think it does use an HD TV, I'll have to open the back panel to find out, will let you know.

Is this a net city w/ Tekken kit? Looks like same cab.

Nice price I hope to one day get a deal like this. It would be sweet to throw SFIV in there when the prices go down.

Wow, That is a sweet CAB

That should compliment your 2 candy cabs nicely.

No, it's a dedicated cabinet made by Namco. It is styled similar to the Net City. It is an american made/produced cabinet, but as you can tell, highly japanese influenced. It has Sanwa sticks and buttons. You can see more about it at coinopexpress.

Definitely a dedicated cab and new, they went for around $5-6K so getting it for $500 was a steal. Congrats.

Wow, 500 bones is awesome. Good find. I was drooling over the one they had here. Might have to go to one of those auctions they have in New Jersey to see if they have any of these floating around. If you get a chance take more pics, this is a really cool cab and I would love to see more of it.

I opened up the back of the cab and the monitor is a Sanwa. Didn't know Sanwa made monitors. I'll get some pics up, but I'll have to get a new camera or my old one repaired, the flash went out on it.

Damn, nice grab! $500 is crazy cheap. And on the price note, although over priced as usual, coinopexpress has the kit with card readers going for $2,495.00. lol....again, nice grab!

I've been eyeballing this same can somewhere near me and one day it will be mine, I really like the design, CP height and other things. Namco US cabs are allways a sight to see.
