I've got an arcade cab with the capcom 6 button set up and i am wondering how a NeoMVS will be affected by putting it in. I understand both are jamma, but my question is the buttonplacement.

for capcom it is

1 2 3
4 5 6

And for a standard neo it's

A B C D

If i put an MVS with no modification, where will the D button show up? Will it be
A B C
D x x

Or will it be

B C D
A x x

OR... will the D button not even be accessed without a 'kick harness' for the MVS? thanks for any help. i seem to remember the MAS Supernova sticks had the D button as button 4 but i could be mistaken.

The D button won't be available.

The MVS doesn't use a kick harness, it usese the available but not standard pin 25 (I believe, I won't look it up since I'm lazy) for the 4th button.

So, if you were to hook up the MVS you'd have the first 3 buttons (since those 3 will be wired on your Jamma harness). The harness in the cab most likely doesn't have pin 15 wired. Even if it did, it probably isn't going anywhere since CPS button set up runs 3 buttons to the harness and 3 through the kick harness.

Do it like mine.

1 2 3
4 5 6/D

You hook up both D and 6 to the same. This way when you play 4 button jamma games it works and when you play your CPS1/2/3 games it works as the 6th button since they dont use jamma pin 25.
