Sega Saturn to Neo Control Mod

Can someone tell me what each pin on the 24 pin IC chip chip on the Japanese style Saturn contol does. Thanks.

No, it's a custom chip.

I guess it's the same as the uk pad though.

Pin 1 is down, 2 is left, 3 is up,4 is right.

Button A is pin 11, B is 10, C is 9.
Button X is pin 13, Y is 6, Z is 8.

Left shoulder is pin 5, right shoulder is pin ??

Start is pin 14.

I think pin 12 is gnd.

Pin 24 goes to gnd via diode.

That leaves pin 7 and 15-23 for power and the rioght shoulder button.

Hmm actually your pinout does not match one that I just found. Which one is correct. I need to know because I want to use buttons Z, C, X, B instead of what DFX has which is A,B,X,Y.

Thanks guys got my saturn control up and running a couple of days ago. Its great. Finaly I can play my games with my favorite fighting game control. <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" />
