Metal Slug/In The Hunt - Separated At Birth?

I pulled out some of my old Playstation games (can you believe Raiden Project still goes for $50-70 on eBay??) and came across one of my favorite shooters: In The Hunt. As I started playing it again, I began to notice how the artwork is similar in style to the Metal Slug series. Anybody else notice this?

Irem made "In the Hunt" and some of the programmers worked Neo's "Pulstar". Maybe some artists worked behind MS game.....who knows

In the Hunt is sweet. I found it used and pretty beat up at a Blockbuser video for like $4. Looks terrible but plays great!

If my memory serves me right, didn't saurus program/produce both In the Hunt and Metal Slug? Can anyone verify this?

You are lucky to have In the Hunt. I have been searching for that one for a long time on the Saturn.

Check out eBay, there's a couple copies for Saturn right now. Under the search, type "in the hunt" with the quotes.

Don't get Saturn version, it sux.
PS is much better (surprise, right?)
Saturn version has too many slowdown and graphic isn't as good as PS.
I got PS version when it first came out and I love that little game even though I haven't played it for more than 4 years.....

I don't know who did In the Hunt for Irem but I know that Metal Slug was developed by Nazca for SNK.

Also, FYI, I know that my copy of (US) ItH refuses to work on my switch-modded US Saturn console. I tried it out on an unmodified console, and it worked fine there. Go figure ^_^

I wonder if someone from Irem may have defected to Nazca... the similarities are too great to ignore.

ITH does rock... unfortunately, I have to remove my Game Shark from the PSX to play it. It hates the GS.

my PS console plays fine even though it has mod chip in it (my console is the first generation of PS and it is still running good). I have a long time that I haven't played In the Hunt. I think I'll take it out and play it tonight
