You won't find MS1 on the cheap unless it's a conversion. The only other solutions are to buy an MVS or MVS->AES adapter.

A conversion will not have a manual, and will have required another Neo Homecart to be sacrificed to make it. Fatal Fury 3 seems to be a popular choice. If a conversion is made well than it will probably give you no problems, but if it isnt who know if it will play right and if it will last. Lastly the resale value is very iffy so know what you are getting into before you buy.

Mmm I sometimes wonder why people just don't get it on MVS, it's about $20 the last time I looked at ECL.

I just had to ask:

How much is the home cart version of MS1?

Can't be more than $350 right? :crying:

According to the guide on this site:
Jap version is $1300 to 1800+
US version is $2000 to 2850+ (complete, near mint)

Do a search for "consolized mvs," it's your best bet if you want to ever play MS1.

Hahahaha $350. DREAM ON.

Seriously, Its not even worth the price tag. Great game but no game is worth that much. Especially seeing as you'll probably NEVER play it due to fear of scratching it even once.

A conversion will not have a manual,.

Not true i had a conversion like that and it had a nice colour copied manual, and it said in the back it was a conv. I sold my aes 3 hours ago cause i have a six slot cab.
Btw the ms1 conv worked perfectly nothing wrong except that it is a conv.
I bought it for a $150

Correction, A conversion will almost never have a manuel. But for sure it will not be an original one. There are cases where they have used Neo CD manuels for some games or even Sega Saturn ones depending on the game.

ExcellentCom Limited.

They are in Hong Kong and ship world wide. They sell everything from cabs to MVS carts and their prices are quite cheap and 100% legit.

Google them and you shall find.

I think its a little more than that now.

Either way its under $50. And that's a damn good price compared to any conversion or AES copy of the game.

I generally like ECL, but if you dig deep enough I think you'll find that they have accidentally sold a few bootleg PCBs etc. Pretty sure there was at least one member over at shmups who ran into this problem.

True, the GDROM drive in one of their NAOMI 2 sets that I bought was dead (motor, not lens). Whichwas dissapointing but easily replaced.
But ECL are quite good for your stock standard MVS collection and any CPS2 gear.

No, not that I'm aware of. Then again there is always Fujita in Japan. google fujita arcade and that should direct you to their site. They have some insanely cheap MVS carts but shipping is always a bitch.

There's one on eBay now from a pretty reputable seller going for $999.99 although the insert looks a bit sun faded.

No, you have to be careful, there are people who are reproducing the MS1 manual out there. There are some very hard to spot differences between the real and fake manual, but thankfully you can tell if you look closely. I've spotted a few phoneys in my day.
