Shocking KOF 2000 ending

OK, spoiler warning. If you do not want to know do not read the next post.

I've been mastering each team (my usual KOF routine) and finally got to the AoF team. When I beat the game with that team, the most surprising ending yet unraveled before my eyes.

It seems King is pregnant! It is not revealed who it is, but all pre-story clues point to Ryo who likes King according to Robert and Yuri.

Man, I really hope KOF 2001 finishes this story thread. The pre-story dialogue is available on KOF online and so is the ending for those who want to read over the text, but don't have the game.

Hmmmm, that's an interesting take on the ending. Personally, I thought Takuma was hinting at passing along the Kyokugen art to King instead of Robert, Ryo or Yuri. Because, if in fact King is pregnant, judging by Robert's expression as well as Ryo's, he could very well have had a shot at her too.

And talking about endings, what did you think of the Korean Team's ending? I hope they keep that story going too, it would be a trip getting things back to normal on that one.

And I thought it was just one Takuma's antics. He's dropped the Mr. Karate act but he's still as crazy as ever. I think he took too many blows to the head.

And Team China's ending is pretty interesting too...

Bao looks like he's going to die after intercepting a blast from the Zero Cannon. Kensou picks him up, and Bao's burning hot from the heat. Suddenly, Kensou's hands start to glow...

It looks as if Kensou has his Psycho Power back...

Now, they have no choice but to do another one. Kensou is destined to be a BEAST in the next game if he keeps his current moves AND gets back his fireball, super blast, etc...

And I hope this means the end of Bao. He sucks!

My take on the ending is that Takuma is hinting that Ryo and King will get married.

Ryo and King have a thing for each other, but neither openly admits it. Takuma realizes this and makes use of an opportunity to tease Ryo (just look at how he reacts).

If King was pregnant and Takuma knew it, I doubt he would let her participate in the tournament.

mmmmmm...that's a good observation Cros about Takuma not letting a pregnant woman compete. BUT then again, according to the back story, they didn't train all that long before the tourney so she couldn't be more than a few days pregnant which would not risk the baby (at least I don't think so, but I could be terribley mistaken).

I agree that Korea and China team's ending deserve to be continued.
