Wanted - ML 2032 or similar rechargeable battery

anyone know where i can get one? id prefer if it was a US seller. need to change my dreamcasts internal clock battery

Yeah, you can buy them just about anywhere you buy batteries. It shouldn't be more than a couple of bucks.

I'll check it out, the last time i went to radioshack looking for the same thing they didnt have what i wanted in store or for special order. in fact they didnt have ANY rechargeable coin batteries, the normal CR2032's like in the saturn and vmu arent what i need. but i read about wiring up a battery pack with rechargeable AAA batteries so i might give it a go first.

Looks like it's not all that easy to change this battery. Have you tried what it says at the link and leave the Dreamcast on for awhile to try to get the charge back up?

I'd leave the thing on for a few hours and see what happens before going and messing with desoldering and resoldering a battery in there, especially if no one carries it.

yeah, unfortunately i have tried this, after leaving my DC on for over a day and it still wont hold a charge, so i figure it must be dead. i did solder in a battery holder and put a lithium-ion rechargeable 2032 in there, but i dont think the dc is charging it, or the battery is draining when off because the settings only save for about 10 minutes after powering down the system.
