wtb: two requests (1) astro city cp surround (2) sf pashilso machine

So, I was debating whether or not to create two separate posts but decided to roll it into one neat package so here it is:

(1) I'm looking for the white surround/border that goes around the astro city control panel. I have a control panel but I bought a cab that was missing the surroundings to the cp. I recently purchased an HSS-0130 to see if it would fit right into it...the dimensions are exactly the same, but I don't think I'll be able to get it on there without having to modify it somewhat and I want to avoid that. So, if anyone has one laying around that they'd be willing to sell, I'm interested. Doesn't have to be in perfect shape.

(2) I would like the Street Fighter Pachislo machine. The only problem is I live in California and companies won't ship here. I know plenty have made it in before cause I see them on CL and other places in CA from time to time. Is there anyone who knows how to get them in or can help me out here? I don't want to get anyone, or myself in trouble for breaking that law but...that thing is awesome! And I have no intention on trying to make money on it...just something for the playroom. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. I appreciate it. Oh and Casey, I forgot to let you k now about your Trinitron...it's not sounding too good based on what I told my pops. I can't remember exactly what he thought the problem would be because I asked him that same night I talked to you, but I remember he said it is likely to be fairly expensive and maybe not worth fixing. I can get you more details if you like...I'll have to ask him again.

Ok, sorry about that sidetrack there. Thanks for the link thchardcore. I found the cp surround. That is cheap...about $36. So you're thinking after all the shipping and charges it will be about $100. Man, I wish there was a way around that. One step at a time I guess...I'll have to try to navigate my way around yahoo Japan. Is it an auction type deal or is it just straight up buying/selling?

Still looking for any leads on the sf pachislo....

I live in California too and feel your pain. Go to bluehotaru.com, tell'em Julius sent ya. If they don't have any SF's in stock through their store, shoot them an email. They'll source a machine for you. I got my KOF, Fatal Fury and Samurai Spirits slots from them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Stealthlurker, thanks for the info. I contacted bluehotaru and even though their site says SF is sold out...they said they just got some but haven't updated their website. Unfortunately the price of it now is about $80 more than what was advertised on their website since it's a little more scarce. I guess that's the price I'll have to pay. The people there seem really nice so thanks again for the recommendation. Also, Julius, I must say I've always admired your collection of arcades and video game-related stuff.

I was thinking $100 in totalwith fees and shipping.

Which is pretty fair.

EDIT: If you want, I was going to try and snag some items off there, maybe we can divide the shipping and I can just handle the order.

NP. If you consider what I had to do the first time I got a slot... ship to a state other then Cali, then ship it to me, then pay the "middleman" a service fee.... total it was 300+ on top of the slot itself!

or ordering from japan! Shipping on something like that (especially if it came with tokens) from japan would be killer.... not to mention middleman fees if you went through Yahoo Japan.

All in all bluehotaru is definitely the overall easier and cheaper way to go for California residents. Plus you can make requests for machines they don't have listed on their site.

For my Samurai Spirits slot they took a couple weeks to source one. Also, they were scared of it getting damaged without being to replace it if something bad were to happen, so they arranged for one of their people to personally deliver it on a Saturday for me. When Saturday came, a nice Japanese guy showed up unloaded the machine, showed me all the features, took away all the packing and what not. Great service!

??!!! How did you get $100 total fees and shipping from YJ?! Just buying a boxed videogame console for me is much higher than that!

Haha, yeah. I while back I was considering having it shipped to Nevada and then picking it up from there. This was a much better route. I went ahead and ordered one up so I hope to get it some time next week. They were really cool about it too and she hooked it up with a free upgrade to 500 tokens. Very pleasant transaction thus far. Thanks again for the lead.

Thchardcore, when were you looking to purchase from yahoo Japan? I'm still considering it. I did see the other cp border listed and I'd go for that one (listed at 2000 yen) since I already have a cp. I'm not 100% sure I want to go this route but we'll see. don't let my inability to decide impede your purchases though.
