Hey guys I'm at a convention right now with my AES and I'm having some sound problems. Basically the BGM sort of fades in and out (always muffled) and the sound effects (voices for KOF, sound effects) don't come out. Instead there is just a lot of static or scratchy noise. I'm using a standard mono A/V out, and I've tried it with several different TVs and different games. Any ideas? The video is working perfectly, BTW.

is it just one game? my art of fighting cart has to be sitting in any of my systems just right for the sound to work properly. some of the contacts are not contacting. try inserting the cart at different angles and depths.

Try using the headphone socket to see if it is a fault with the AV lead or internally to the AV socket, or a total sound problem eg. duff chip ;)
