This auction is for Capcom Street Figher 2 CHAMP PCB Logic Board ---we have tested it and it works fine--sound and picture! a true classic now...and a clean boardset.... ---we will retest before we ship! THIS IS A DEDICATED CAPCOM BOARD---NOT a bootleg!! .

why do you want to report him?

I cant find anything in that listing that is inaccurate? That does have the rainbow chips on it but that doesnt make it a bootleg, it is an official capcom board with upgrade chips on it. Everything he said is true... I have some of these myself actually. The bootleg SF rainbow boards are single layer and huuuuge! BBurger sells them fairly frequently actually

I wouldnt report it man as I dont see what the problem is, maybe I am missing something though?

Look at his quote, it reads, "THIS IS A DEDICATED CAPCOM BOARD---NOT a bootleg!! . " yet the picture showing the actual board proves it's a bootleg. That's the problem.

it is a dedicated capcom board, the picture proves that it is an official board. What are you looking at that is telling you conclusively it is a bootleg anwyays? Those upgrade chips that say STF CHAMP NOVELTY are after market upgrades that make it run as rainbow edition. The boardset is not a bootleg man.... those are all original capcom stamps, boards and chips. I have owned quite a few of those and actually just sold 2 of them here within the last week. I would never sell a bootleg and least of all to my peers here at neo-geo.com.

I wouldnt hassle the guy about it.

I would be upset if I bought that, because he's advertising a legit sf2 championship edition and the aftermarket rom upgrades that make it rainbow edition wouldn't be a welcome surprise if I was looking to play street fighter. Anyone with an untrained eye wouldn't be able to see the bootleg roms. I mean if you played SF2 on the SNES and said to yourself, "man I'd really like to own the arcade!", only to buy the game with *this* board in it? All of a sudden the guys are moving super fast and characters are changing mid-game? Fireballs coming from Balrog? I'd be pissed. I say all of this enjoying rainbow edition myself.

He's selling a bootleg SF2 game, regardless of whether or not it's on the original boardset. That's a problem. It's the same thing with Neo boots, a boot can be on the original MVS PCB but the bootleg roms make it exactly that, a bootleg. If he's selling rainbow edition, then he should advertise it as rainbow edition.

I understand that, I think the real issue is that he probably does not realize what it is. More then likely he does not know the difference between SF2 and SF2 rainbow, or hyper, or alpha and any of them for that matter.

I think though if you did buy that board and you did not want to play it as "rainbow" you could just remove those 2 chips and it would play as normal champion edition. I may not be correct about that but I think that is true. That being said I think it is more of an upgrade rather then a bootleg which would be a hack and irreversible. At any rate, we're just splitting hairs on it.

I wouldnt report him, but thats just me.

Nah, those roms replace the original 21, 22, and 23 chips - without them the game wouldn't play at all. They're the program roms, which basically decide what the characters can do, etc., that's what lets them do special moves in mid-air and such.

Idk, maybe it's me. I'm very picky lately :loco:

this seller is a local legend in the greater Philadelphia area, mainly for infomercials like this one.
he's got some weird gimmicks in the infomercial. skip to 7:05, 7:40, 13:38, 17:00 to see an example.

bloopers at the end too

Why report him? Just send him a message saying what it is so he can update the item description. I mean for christ's sake he's eating cake while taking the picture.

I just found it strange how he specifically states it's not a bootleg - as if he knows what one is. And cake...? I must've missed that picture :conf:

Yea man, there's definitely a pastry of some sort involved. I'd just send him a message explaining what he should change to make the listing description accurate. I've done that before on a couple auctions and in all cases people have thanked me and made the changes.

There's cake or maybe Tiramisu on the top left corner of the pic on an orange/red plate.
