It would probably be cheaper for you to buy NOS carts for the cases than to hunt down/pay for SNAPs.

I hate to say this, but probably the best thing to do for snaplocks is to buy cheap games and steal their boxes. I think Fatal Fury 3 and KOF 96 Japanese versions are good candidates. Then just flip the cartless games on ebay or the forum.

I really love both of those games though, and taking complete games out of circulation makes me cry a little on the inside.

Otherwise, you could always get some MVS shockboxes, they will fit AES games. They are bigger than AES boxes though.

If you choose to go after cheap totles with the snaplocks, make sure that they are in the condition you desire. I've had a few of the cheap titles and every case had some type of flaw or minor damage. SHOCKbox would definitely not be an option in this situation as he is an AES collecter.

Years ago it was rumoured that someone was sitting on a pile of snap-lock cases bought up from SNK directly... I never found out who it was, or if the rumour was even true.

As for getting them individually, you stand no chance I'm afraid. What mint unused boxes that are in existenance are in the hands of people whoare unlikely to want to part with them.

You'd be better off getting mint copies off reliable sellers and selling your scutty copies on.

Nice. Just thought I'd mention that if you buy games like FF3,RBFF,KOF96, for snap locks, they'll be the grainy versions and may not be correct for the games you'd like to store them in. You may be further ahead to buy nicer copies of those games and sell the ones you have then swapping parts. Just my 2 cents.
