I was in the city today, and I thought I'd check out the arcade downtown when looking at the sign I noticed a "FOR RENT" banner hanging over it. The strange thing was, it was still open. Games were there, people were playing, I walked right in and looked around. Anybody know what's the deal?

Speaking of NY, I heard VF5 was at Coney Island. Has anyone been there lately? I might check it out soon.

Well I'm on the other coast but concerning a rent sign, these can be posted on a property that is about to become vacant.

Hopefully its a error because it would be sad to see another arcade go down.

Any chance there's space above it? Either office space or residential space?

I've been to chinatown several times but I don't recall the building structure.

Ah, thanks for the update notsonic. What a strange place to put a rent sign. They really couldn't put it *above* the CF sign? :oh_no:

The place is always busy, so they have to be making money. As long as they're not going anywhere.

I keep hearing conflicting stories.

First was their renting out the top part of the store, not the bottom. If that's the case why the hell would you put that directly over the store's sign?

I also keep hearing from players (even when I spoke to Justin Wong) how bad the place has been going downhill. They never keep the games in good working order. And people are getting into real life fights all the time. Justin told me he saw a knife fight break out over a character in MvC2.

I was also at Coney Island last year to see the Aquabats, no VF5 machines that I saw or of a place that would get a machine.
