i want to build kick harnesses for various boards that i have (or will soon have) so i can fit them all in my cab. i have no idea which connectors i need, and they're all different (i think). for example, i've found that sfII CE (cps1) would use a .100 Molex 10 position connector to connect to the pcb, though i'm not positive about that.

if anyone could tell me which connectors i would need for the following boards' jamma plus kick harnesses, i'd appreciate it. i'm looking for:

mk1, mk2, and mk3/umk3
killer instinct 1 and 2
CPS1, CPS2, and CPS3

thank you!!

I think that all the MK games can use the same kick harness, at least 1 and 2 can. I think it's the same size as CPS1, but it's 12, or 15 position.

Both Killer Instincts can use the same kick harness. I think that's a 15 position pin too.

CPS1 games will need the harness like you said above.

CPS2 and CPS3 games use the same harness. Basically it's a floppy-drive cable.

I've got quite a few different harnesses myself, for CPS1, CPS2, CPS3, KI, MK1, MK2, NBA Jam, TMNT, Captain America, MERCS, Combatribes, and some others in there. Of course some of those aren't kick harnesses, but 3rd/4th player harnesses.

i dont know if this would help, but it might.

check the faq on my site the cps2/neo friendly button harness. just replace the cps2 ones with the other ones and it should pretty much help you with what you need, i think.

I edited my post above. If you order from Bob Roberts, I'm sure he would know the size required for each game as well. He can make the harness for you, or just send you the parts.

I think that's still the addy.

i am using your faq now to build the control pannel quick connects for the kick harness swap (good job, by the way). i still need the actual connectors to build the pcb specific harness, though.

bob roberts has a harness for swapping many differnt Kicks. A control panel side that has a moles connect for the extra 3 buttons and a ground loop set for them- then all you do is buy or make the Pcb side of the kick and plug it into the control panel. I'm using this for street fighter and MK1+2 and briggs is making me a St-v kick. Bob explains it all bvery well and is a pleasure to deal with- his system is The shit :-D
