Just wondering if people have preferences to the different types. I know the big 2 are Sanwa and Seimitsu. I guess it depends on the games? I hear a lot of peeps like the Sanwa sticks (JLW-TM-8) and pushbuttons for fighting games. But a good all-round stick for games is the Seimitsu LS-32 and their pushbuttons are better for shooters?

What do you use/prefer and why?

I've got Sanwa sticks and buttons in my cabs. They work great, but I don't have anything to compare them to other than Happs. JLW-TM-8's and I mostly play fighting games. I like the convex button feel of Sanwa buttons, again only Happs to compare them to. Haven't played Seimitsu's, would be curious to see if they feel any better than Sanwa.

I use Sanwa because thats the stock stick designed for my Candy Cab. I would never mod or change the control panel for a stick. Unless I get U.S. cab. :D

Agreed. However the stock stick on my SuperNeo 29 is the Seimitsu LS-40. Reading threads the LS-40 is is similar to the Seimitsu LS-32 just of lesser quality. The LS-32 supposdly has more spring and built better. Most of my experience is with US cabinets and Happs. I would never bastardize the CP on my SuperNeo 29, but switching out the joystick/pushbuttons for better ones is an option. Of course I'll be using Sanwa or Seimitsu parts :)

I've used both Sanwa and Seimitsu sticks and buttons. Sanwa is preferred for fighters, as the sticks are a little looser for quick throws of the stick for complicated fighting moves. Their buttons also take less pressure to depress (also good for fighters).

Seimitsu sticks/buttons are a little more stiff for all around arcade play and shooters in general. You want a stiffer stick for mitigating all those obstacles in shooters; and you don't want to accidentally drop bombs on crap by brushing a button.
