I mean it saves the stages in the KoF, MotW and Metal Slugs alright (albeit only one stage for the fighting games), but it doesn't save anything else. Particularly the scores. I'd like to see my hi scores from the past in games like Metal Slug X and 3 but somehow they're not saved, such a simple thing. Is it that my official mem card is jacked?

If you really want to save hi scores then you should play on one of the newer MVS boards : My MV-1B mini motherboard can save hi scores for up to 8 games, even when I switch between the cartridges !

Yeah Metal Slug X and 3 are AWESOME. I got MS3, new, from NCS last fall for $332. MSX I paid too much for - $320 because I wanted to play it in a certain part of the month. I also recently acquired a new Mark of the Wolves. And I just got into the Neo scene not so long ago and my collection is almost complete, for now I'm happy to say that I'm one of the Neo Geo elite, just kidding I don't get these games for status, I get them because I want to get them and because they're very enjoyable to play. Don't worry KJ, you will get these games soon enough if you keep at it.

Ahhhhh, I remember the early days when I envied some of you fellow members because of your MotW's, KoF's and Metal Slugs But now I'm extremely happy to say that I too can enjoy these games in their original format in the comfort of my home.

*all* MVS-boards store data (much more than scores only) for up to 8 games.

that's very cool! i especially like the income and play statistics. here you can see for example how often you played a game and/or how many credits you used.

the game i played most is strikers 1945+ with 600+ games at the moment !

Yeah, thaks for the update ! I knew of course about the operator statistics (number of plays - play time - calendar of income...) but I wasn' t sure for the hi scores freature on the older bards since I don' t own one.

Well, no one really answered my question so far. I'm talking about the Official Neo Geo memory card for the Neo Geo Home console which can be used on the MVS. Yeah, these are nice answers, but not really pertinent for us who have home consoles. Anyone know anything about this and can shed some light? I'm wondering why the card doesn't store Hi scores to keep track in games like Metal SLug X and 3.

High scores are NOT saved by the memory card. The MVS saves it, but not on the memory card.
