SOLD: WD MyBook Home 500GB eSATA/FW400/USB2 HDD

Edit: SOLD

I'll level with you guys. I've had several WD external drives die on me and this is the latest warranty replacement. The first few were a completely different model but they recently switched me to the MyBook Home, which is an eSATA drive in addition to IEEE1394 and USB2.

Since I didn't want to wait for the replacement, I went ahead and got another drive and enclosure (which will probably also die, but I've been a computer tech for 12+ years so I'm pretty cynical about it all). My philosophy is there are two kinds of hard drive: the dead and the about to be dead. I hate them all equally.

So here we have a brand spankin' new Western Digital MyBook Home 500GB eSATA + IEEE1394 + USB2.0 hard drive. I've only even had it out of the box long enough to make sure they transferred the extended warranty to it. It includes the drive, USB2.0 cable, IEEE1394 cable, and power supply. No software is included but it's easily available from WD's web site if you need it, which you shouldn't.

The drive is covered under WD's warranty until May 31, 2010. The serial number is WCASU2003057 in case you want to check for yourself.

Here are some pics:

(obviously, the turntable and flight case are not included)

I think $80 shipped by FedEx Ground to the continental US is fair, but if you disagree, I'm willing to hear reasonable offers. I'll take PayPal or money order.

This thing needs to go. $80 shipped. If it's still here in a week, it goes to eBay.
