Picking up a Rygar cocktail tomorrow. Excited as hell about it. Just thought I'd share the excitement.

what was the table originally? Rygar was never released in a dedicated cabinet. only kit form.

Awesome. Rygar was one of my favorites as a kid. Used to dump a ton of quarters into it back in the day.

No idea what the table originally was. I haven't seen the cab yet. Just a bunch of pics. I can't post pics due to work restrictions, but I'll email you a pic and you can probably tell what it was.

From what the seller tells me, I just need to replace the power supply -- he pulled it to put in a golden axe cab. I plan on getting it regardless, I've been wanting a cocktail cab for a while.


Loegan, I'm with you...spent many quarters on Rygar back in the arcade days of my youth. One of the main reasons I'm excited as hell about getting this cab!

Man, I'm bummed out. I hit some road debris about 1/3 of the way out to pick up the cab and blew out both fron tires. Yeah me. By the time I got a hold of my firend with a cherokee to borrow a couple of tires and swapped them out it was well after 3pm and there was still a total of 2 hours of drive time to complete the transaction. I'm working my last 12 hour mid shift, so I just turned around and went home so I could get some sleep.

Going to pick it up wednesday now as well as some other goodies.

Today was a productive day. I went and picked up the Rygar cocktail cab and the seller included a Two Tigers cab -converted from a tron cab- (only boots to garbage green screen). I haven't had time to check them out thoroughly yet. Also got a SF2 PCB! Yes, today has been a good day indeed.

Imagine a jeep cherokee with a cocktail cab AND a full size cab in it! I could tell by the drivers I was passing that I was making lots of people nervous in my 35 mile trip back home on the interstate. 6 ratchet straps were holding the large cab from falling out the back so I wasn't nervous.

Anyway, cab pics to come later.

Sprayed lube all over the joysticks (they were sticking like crazy - now perfect) and have been playing the piss out of this cab. Last night was a 6 pack of Bravaria and Rygar until 11:30pm after I got back from the hospital (visiting dad), work, ate, etc.


I'll get around to posting pics eventually.





Hey Cyberfluxor - missed your call, cell phone battery was dead, but I was tied up (see above), I'll call you sometime today - I'm at work all day and fireworks in norfolk tonight.

Hehe, see post above yours...I was busy. They are coming soon though. If I wasn't at work I'd throw some up now.

I'll be home in an hour, I think I found a fix for the 2 tigers cab with a little research. I should be able to cut the purple wire from the PS to the mobo bypassing the reset circuit. Can't wait to find out as I hope it really is that simple.

Congrats man! I'll have to check it out sometime and see what's up. I'll see what I can do about your operating system situation, maybe find something that'll make it worth emulating on. And I have a funny story about the speakers I picked up the other week, but they should be fine to be used on a supergun or arcade cab.

Fireworks got rained out here -- everywhere in hampton roads it seems -- boo, hiss.

Anyway...

I'm surprised at how good two tigers is. Looking at screen shots before I got the cab working, I didn't think I would like the game at all, but it is a fun, hard as hell shooter. Graphics are basic, but the controls with the spinner are spot on and the gameplay is nice and fluid.

I didn't get around to it last night -- didn't get home till 1am or so. I'm at work for the next 12 hours. Be patient, as soon as I get home tonight I'm going to get some pics of the cabs in action.

The only problems I have are no sound on the 2 tigers cab (that should be fixed after I get home hopefully), the red gun is out on the 2 tigers monitor (no big deal for this game really), and the Rygar cocktail needs the screen width adjusted a bit -- another easy fix.

Yep. Two Tigers was only available as either a Tron conversion kit or as a dedicated cab with flight controls instead of spinners.






edit...unrelated...arrrggghhhh, it's about to storm it's ass off and I still have work stuff to do outside...2nd thunderstorm of the day...1 more day to go and I'm off for a whole week and it can't come soon enough.
