Hey guys,

I recently bought my first MVS and I wanted to repaint the worn down metal section on the control panel. I'm sure this is a pretty common thing for MVS cabs. Before I tackle this job does anyone have some pointers on types of black paint I should be buying? I'm pretty sure I need to get something that's tough and will hold up to contact, heat and moisture since your hands and wrist make a lot of contact with it. Also, does it make sense to sand it down before hand, or add primer paint? If anyone has tips fire away!

What you want to do is strip the cp of everything on it. Sand it down with some fine grit paper. Prime it and paint it with a standard can of spray paint. Theres other options like powder coating it or taking it to a auto body shop and asking how much they would do it for.

Go to Auto Zone and buy a big can of universal black and some primer. give it a few coats, and it will look good. Used it on my CP and marquee bezel, and it looks great. It has a semi-gloss.
