I had a Post in General but it got moved. I think this forum is more appropriate anyway.

Here it is near the beginning after me and a buddy studded it out and insulated it.

nice job, always cool to see do-it-yourself projects. floor looks really good, how hard was it? i'll be doing my kitchen/living room pretty much the same color and style. can't wait to see pics with cabs in it.

thanks man. the floor is easy. Traffic Master Heritage Oak interlocking flooring, all you really need is a circular saw. i got em at Home depot. it was $1.11 a square foot.

Your gameroom already looks better than most people's homes (myself included). Amazing work. Do you work in labor, or it exclusively a hobby for you?

Kind words. Thanks. I'm technically a guitar instructor, but the guy who runs the music studio Bought-Fixed up-and sold houses for about a year and a half. One of the places we took down to the studs and rebuilt, that gave me alot of experience and confidence. When you have two guys (me and His Son) completely rebuild a house, there is alot you can learn. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

$2,000-$3,000. That's a guess. I've kept all my receipts for tax purposes but i don't have a running total. It's all tax deductible which is nice. Thank god for home depot Credit Cards. 6 Months no interest on purchases over $299.

I'd be leery about setting cabs directly on hardwood flooring. I'd advise cutting some sections of high traffic carpeting where you want the cabs to go.

it's not hardwood its a scratchproof composite. I'm putting felt feet on all the cabs to reduce scratching. it's a good point though, thanx

i was going to suggest sanding those closet doors down and painting them white, but with the big reds in front it doesn't really matter. are you using that closet for storage or can you just take the doors off and push the big reds inside the closet a bit to get a little more floor space? i've done that with pinball machines and it can help immensely.

nice newcastle sightings in those pics and Revenge of Doh is awsome.

thanks for the kind words, and new castle is great. those doors actually have my hot water heater and water pump behind them. if i need to get to them i can drag the cabs out but i don't need constant access to it so i put the cabs in front.

i wish i could do that with mine. too much to worry about with possible flooding.

that old tv needs a 2600 on it though, not a 3doo.

whats the square footage of that whole area?


also if you get some time, could you take pictures of that gamecube stand? i have one but its in pieces and im missing the tv. id like to see how the tv mounts up, and how the controllers mount.

Awesome game room and great job finishing off the room. I really like the high up shelf with all sorts of collectibles on it and that giant flying Mario on the wall.

No way man. You remember seeing any red japanese cabinets? That marquee is from the good old US of A. was in the mini 2 slots that were installed at McD's. Bendor, would you trade anything for that marquee? I've got one of the neo mini's with a regular marquee, wouldn't mine having a McD's version for laughs.
