Need a Capcom / Sony ZN-2 Crash Course

I just ordered a Rival Schools board and would like to learn as much as possible about the hardware as I can before it gets here. I've seen what's on system16.com and know it's supposed to have a JAMMA connector. I've also read that it shouldn't have a suicide battery.

Does anyone know any more about this? Like is it possible to get stereo out of it? Is it going to need -5V? Is the refresh rate close enough to 60Hz that I should be able to use it with my supergun (assuming the power supply can handle it)?

A link to a manual or something would be great.

I have a rival school usa board. It is -5, it is 60hz. There are no suicide batteries,
and it has stereo out via jamma. Uhhh, you need a kick button wire too, same as the
cps2 wires. Great, great game as long as you stay away from the censored voices
asia version.

It's mono out of the jamma and stereo out of the 4 pin stereo harness (floppy power cable works great).

Pins L (-) and 10 (+) are the only speaker pins at the jamma edge connector.

I got the following from a local thrift store. Makes putting the Rival Schools board in my big red a little easier.

All japanese voices are. Same as with 3s asia.

So it's that simple then? I figured there'd be all kinds of weird encryption on it.

I played what I thought was the asian rom in MAME before I ordered it and it looked / sounded pretty normal aside from the "only for use in asia" warning when it started. *shrugs*

I just went to service menu of the asian board, and under configuration you can turn the japanese voices back on.

I got one of those ZN-2's boards with Rival Schools , great game, I suggest you pickup a Tetris: The Grand Master if you wanna have a seccond supurb title, I did
