Been doing a bit of searching around lately, and was kinda struck by what I found.

A full US Marvel vs. Capcom 2 cab in good working order goes for 360ish bucks from Namco-arcade's back stock.

A stripped from cab naomi set-up with the capcom I/O and no game goes for roughly $250 - 300.

A loose naomi cartridge of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will sell on eBay for over $200 just about every time.

So its 450 - 500 dollars to get every thing together to mod your own cab or play on a supergun. But a full cab in working condition is 360ish...

Gotta love it. :spock:

namco doesn't care about ebay prices or current market trends. they are trying to free up floor space by cleaning out games that aren't making money anymore. which is why 3rd strike cabs are running for $150

Where can you buy a cab from Namco-arcade's back stock?

Could you give a website address or pm me with details.

Namco Arcade however the site seems to be down right now. They have a search engine and a list of games however it's not updated as frequent as it should. I thought I found a deal on a couple of sit-down Cruisin Worlds for $495 each but when my boss went to the location, they told him they were sold months ago and the online info is not updated.

Best thing is find the nearest Cyberstation, call the manager to see what they have so as to save you an unnecessary trip.

Looks like the sites down. I was on it last Friday, so I have no idea if this is just temporary or not.

www.namcoarcade.com

If it comes back up, they have a link to their back stock. You can search by state or region, and they have some pretty nice cabs for cheap.

No idea if this email still works, but afriedl@namcoarcade.com is the contact email for used game sales.

even if you find a local namco arcade, scheduling a time to pick up the machine is a pain in the ass. have to wait for a manager, and the one mall I got my 3rd strike from I had to show up before the mall opened.

This is true. They can be a pain in the ass to meet up with. But when you bring home that Tekken Tag Showcase cab for $400, its worth all the hassle. 3rd Strike would be even better. :smirk:
