Any Pachinko or Pachislo fans here? One of my buddies has an Aruze Pachislo machine called Surf Trip and I must admit it's pretty entertaining, especially when drinking or at get togethers.

There's a company in NY called Stealth Home Amusment, seem to have a pretty good selection of machines and good prices. BTW, I spy a nice pair of Pachislo machines including Samurai Spirits in chris1's collection.

I just scored a somewhat newer pachinko machine on ebay, nice plastic front surround and colorful playfield, not one with an LCD screen though. It's supposedly wired for 110V, has volume controls and comes with over 500 balls, should be all I need to start playing right out of the box. I'm also interested in picking up one from the 60-70s which are much simpler.

Any thoughts, suggestions, things to look for when buying? Post away peeps, I couldn't find much info on the net about either save places that selling them, so if you have any good links please post'em.

Is it the newer kind with the Udon artwork and the LCD screen? I saw that one go recently at an auction for $200, which I kind of consider to be cheap.

I've got a Metal Slug and Hokuto no Ken Pachislos. Also a Hokuto no Ken Pachinko with LCD screen. I'd like to get more, but space and laws make it very, very difficult for me to obtain Pachislos.

The first pachislo I got (a metal slug), I had to find someone in another state willing to complete the transaction for me. Pay the shipping to him, then the shipping to me and some cash to make it worth his time. The second pachislo I got was just a lucky fluke that the seller did not know about the slot machine sale restriction laws in California. :D

Its nice that you scored one already with volume controls as these machines are extremely loud and most do not come with a "useful" volume control mechanism.

It shoud be ready to play out of the box.

Note, the Flea Market in Englishtown NJ has a Pachislo & pachinko machine dealer of latest machines, lots on display(inside area) and many he can order...

I've dealt with Stealth Home Amusment many times.
I bought this machine for my Inlaws from them,..ordered it a few days before Christmas .Since I ordered it so late I figured I'd not get it in time.. they got it to me even before they estmated delivery date.
Great Company
talk about Loud..It's got a subwoofer in it with another speaker in front of the subwoofer plus two speakers on the front door..

Nice pics chris1, thanks for sharing. That Samurai Spirits pachislo is awesome, can you tell me anything about how the LCD screen and d-pad/buttons setup works? Nice looking art on it too.

I really like the looks of the new Yamasa ELvision games like Neo Planet 999. I can't believe the prices on them either considering what an advance game it is.

Oh yeah, and I'll post pictures of the pachinko when it shows up here, it's a Nishijin.

Thank you..

I wanted to buy one of the new ball pachinko machines but I'm so HIT for room...I think they are really cool and I played several differnt types in the Englishtown location..
All lit up,they are really nice..

I'm really looking forward to seeing the pictures of the pachinko machine you bought.

That Neo Planet 999 is nice.....

There's one with a roulette wheel in it that I wanted to get my in-laws..but they'sd really like the ELVIS Pachislo machine..

Las Vegas Slot.
It was told to me that it had a volume control as I asked questions about it before buying it.. but after looking through the machine 1000 times and contacting them again....I can't find it nor do they know where it is..In the manual I looked at every possible place too and I can't find it..The machine is Way too loud..
I need to buy the pots, and wire them in for my inlaws machine. They currently don't have the speakers hooked up as it's just too loud.
Dial volume control kits for your Pachislo slot machine
http://stealthhome.stores.yahoo.net/pavocoki.html
But honestly I don't know where to put them since the machine has so many speakers

My TACO SLOT has a three way switch that lowers the volume to a sensible amount of volume.
The Samurai Spirits has a dial volume control kit installed for each speaker..Since I got it at that Englisthtown NJ lot Machine dealer he installs them beforehand.

I'd like to install this.

Samurai Spirits
Directional buttons,,to be honest I haven't played the machines in months..
I know that they are used to set the date, then I notice you can check your stats and what looks to be progression .It seems like you can check how much each picture on the wheel, how many times it's landed on..I also think that it explains what you get when you do certain combos..all kinds of stuff in the screen.
There's also some kind of card game and other game in there that I can't understand how
Check this out...It's all in Japanese so I don't understand any of it..

..........
You can get new type Pachislo & pachinko machines at Arcade auctions..Super Cheap...I saw Two machines that were identical,I think both AZTEK sell for $25.00...the last Arcade auction I went to they had a ton of them and I don't remember any going over $50.00
If I had the room,man ...

............................
Here's some really old pictures,I finally was able to find my old room of doom collection after scrolling through page after page at the dp website(search enging doesn't work)

OLDASSPACHIPIC.jpg

This has it's own power supply(a 9v power supply for the lights)
It's in a really nice custom case made by/at : PACHINKO PALACE IMPORTS Paramus NJ
It's curruntly displayed behind my television ..

...........................
I also put a power supply in this one(just any old NES,Genesis power supply)...otherwise you can use a 9 volt battery.
PACI21.jpg

I painted it up and it's now burried in my apt,I have another in storage..
..I would not mind selling/getting rid of the two out of case but shipping...OUCH..

Wow that thing looks huge next to your candy! Is that a U4? I really dig the older style Neo candies, love those chrome CP surrounds and boxy designs.

Pachinko should be here next week, hopefully UPS treats it nice:oh_no: I'll be sure to snap some pics when it arrives.

Each speaker on a pachislo machine needs a volume control. Here's a kit on ebay for a pair of volume controls and needed supplies. Super easy to install with wire nuts.

I'm not a fan of the auto stop, IMO it's a downgrade. Personally I think having control of each reel is awesome.

Nice oldschool pachinkos, I dig Nishijin:cool: That case looks great, is it solid hardwood? I just got a job as a carpenters apprentice so I'm looking forward to making a nice case/enclosure for my pachinko.

Looks like a nice vintage Nishijin Super DX you've got there, is that before or after the paint job? What other model do you have in storage? I'm not that far away from you so shipping UPS ground wouldn't be out of the question.

Thank you..

The wood case is pressed wood..The main part is on hinges and it opens up like a door in that case..
It's heavy!!!..It's in really incredible condition for it's age..this was some collectors, someone had this in thier house.
I got it for $40.00 at a flea market and it came with over 100 or so new balls..
Remember, these older machines don't work right unless you have enough balls in them..usually they need about 100

The Nishijin Super DX pic was taken like I got it...I think it's much better looking in the picture then in person...I think I paid $25.00 for it at the flea market but it has no balls.

Yea it's a MVS U4..It's in my kitchen now...:D

I used one of those steam cleaning vacuum cleaners to clean my carpets today
I had to move shit around, so I took these size comparison pictures...and the baby:p

Awesome, cabs and a pocket bike in the kitchen, does it get any better than that? I think not.

Awesome deal on that cased pachinko, from the photo it looks to be in top condition, I like the dark colored wood as well.

Do you recall what make/model your other pachinko is that's in storage not pictured?

Really nice stuff there, you sir are hardcore:buttrock:

Still waiting on the pachinko but I did stumble across a local deal I couldn't pass up on.

DSC01700.jpg

It's an Aruze Surf Trip pachislo, fully working and came with about 500 tokens, manual for some other pachislo game and original receipt. Took a little bit of time yesterday cleaning up the exterior and am now working on the inside, hopper, reels and such. I'm also going to clean the tokens, after counting them my finger tips were black:eek_2:

is there any difference between a "pachislo" machine and a slot machine?

it would appear that pachislo machines have nothing to do with pachinko and everything to do with slots.

Pachinko and Pachislo don't really share anything except both being Japanese casino games.

A US Vegas style slot machine has a hand crank lever that stops all reels at once, on a pachislo machine each real can be stopped separately by the push of a button. I haven't played any Vegas style slots but from the looks of them they aren't as interactive as pachislo. I've played Surf Trip quite a bit and still manage to get sounds and game modes I've never seen before.

Thanks Justin! Other than ebay and possibly Stealth Home Amusement I'm afraid I don't. I didn't realize you were into pachislo, if you have one I'd love to see some pics.

Also, thanks for bumping my Quiz/Mahjong MVS wanted thread. Looks like I'll be able to secure at least on of them and maybe with a little luck the other one too. After that it's Pleasure Goal and I'm done:tickled: Don't expect that to be an easy find though, last copy I remember seeing for sale was a few years ago:(

I have one of these - a Terminator 2 machine I bought a while back. It's got an LCD screen and some nice features, but it's purely an item of furniture.

AFAIK there's no skill in it at all, and no matter when you press the buttons the reels stop when they want to.

The only thing to learn is how to play the mini games when they pop up.

Also they're not designed to take your money due to Japanese gaming laws, so they are usually set to over 100% payout.

Nice Street Fighter II Justin, one of the coolest pachislos ever:cool:

Metal Slug looks great too, thanks for the awesome pictures StealthLurker. Your Fist of Northstar pachinko looks cool, is that a D-pad and button on the bottom left of it?

That KOF pachislo looks to be using the same style case as Metal Slug so I'd expect it to be of the same quality, you'll have to post a pic when you get it:)

Yes it is a d-pad, however other than picking a character at the start and some weird/unknown options I'm not sure what else it does.

I don't know about other pachislos, but on the metal slug pachislo it's kinda cool how you can actually "beat" it like a videogame and get an ending (and missions).
