Are there any Jamma SNES adapters?

I saw a modded SNES for sale on the market place a couple weeks ago. But the seller said that you still needed to use the SNES controllers.
Does anyone know of any kind of adapter or anything that would convert the SNES to full Jamma with button support?
I think it would be pretty rad to play something like F-Zero, Maro Kart or maby even Assault Suits Valken (Cybernator) on it.

I have never seen any type of adapter for the older consoles to JAMMA unfortunately. I think your best bet would be to build/have someone modify one. 68k's J-Gens come to mind.

You're probably referring to the J-SNES that I built. I could have added full jamma controller support, but I can't decide on how to approach it. The problem with the SNES is there are so many damn buttons on the controller. The Genesis is nice, with only three buttons and start, but with the SNES, you've got 6 buttons, start and select.

I guess the best way to do it would be to add a kick harness connector and require a street fighter 6 button setup. But even with this, you still wouldn't have a select button.

I always recommend an RGB amp for any console setup.

Yeah I was thinking that too after I posted this. The six buttons would only be good for the face and shoulder buttons. Then map the starts to the 1p 2p start buttons. And have the selects go to the test and service menu buttons. But I guess that would be sort of awkward.

I've seen real/pro setups. I think Devilredeemed had some once....SOMEONE on here did. Kick myself for not snagging one....but I think you had to modify your harness for it. :blow_top:

Does anybody know if the Super System ROMs have ever been converted to run on a standard SNES?

Why would you want to?

The games are the same except for the ability to change lives and shit...

Yeah, that would be the best way to do SNES in a cab. Convert a standard SNES to work in a Super System. Sounds almost like something you'd think someone out there has already done. Think about it, if you owned a Super System, it would probably be the first thing on your mind.

Could be a fun project, that's all. I have a flash cart lying around for the SNES mostly unused and a second SNES wouldn't be too expensive so it would be 'neat' to have the arcade ROMs running on a modded machine in my cabinet.
