Hi
Ive got an alpha3 board with a wierd problem. When I turn it on it boots normally until it reaches a distorted q sound screen(no graphic just pink lines) AFter it reaches the q sound screen it resets and starts over. THis happens about 4 times then the game boots normally and goes past the q sound screen. Checking the memory at the distorted q sound screen shows that the games program rom 07 is no good however when the game starts running fine and i do a check there are no errors.
If I try to play the game before it resets at the distorted q sound screen then the in game graphics such as the backgrounds are bad and it resets at some random point.
anybody got any clues what could be the problem
Found the Problem
On one of the pal chips there is some green powdery buildup on 3 of the legs What should i clean this off with where did it come from I replaced the battery days ago and it was fine the new battery is also fine
