Pac-Man or Pac-man game series are usually Vertical right?

I really want to own one but dont have a cab or want to flip my TV when playing. So I was thinking I could just leave it the way it is but maybe wire a joystick to compensate for the orientation change. Like make left on the stick up on the board since it will be going to the left on screen and so on.

Does that make sense?

Also is the Top of the screen at the left in horizontal position or on the right?

Yea, Pac games are vertical orientation. I think your method would be confusing due to the graphics, even with the joystick compensating. All the ghosts and text would be sideways.

Trying to play vertical games on a horizontal screen gives me a massive headache and I don't recommend it

Does anyone know if there were any horizontal Pac-Man games not including the adventure games?

Just the Professor Pac-Man game, which doesn't really count.

Only horizontal Pac-Man game I know is PacLand but it's a side-scrolling game and not a maze game (though you still eat power pellets and ghost monsters)

About the only game I know that's both vertical and horizontal in the arcades is The Wizard of Wor. The upright is horizontal based and the cocktail table is vertical based.

Between my friends and family, there are a lot of old TV's laying around. It wasn't hard to find one good for flipping to play vertical games. I use a little 13" TV with a built-in VCR. The CRT screen doesn't get messed up at all when you flip it (I guess it might have something to do with the fact there's a built-in VCR and the screen is specially shielded or something).

Otherwise, you know, just get an LCD.

Take it from me. I have been looking for cabs recently, and a 100 dollar working cab in your neighborhood is a steal. Come on, you shouldn't even have to think about it. I just bought a 100 dollar cab with a blurry screen to fix up. And I drove 60 miles to get it. You sell front lit NGPC for that amount.
