Yes. They used them on the Virtua Stick High-Grade.

Only in 30mm varieties. Although tht's going to change soon since they have produced 24mm start/select buttons for Hori for the HRAP2 SA.

The answer is actually no. The buttons that Sanwa produces are k/dh which stands for black/dark hai (grey). They are not all black. They are ONLY available in OBSF-30. They will NOT be available in OBSF-24 because that was an EXCLUSIVE color for Hori only. This has already been confirmed through a direct query to Sanwa.

EDIT: Just to clarify, the k/dh buttons have black bezel (outer ring) and dark hai plunger (inner circle). I thought what I said might have been misleading. It could have been read as one solid blackish grey color and not two toned as it really is.

They have a history of doing this. For example, they make a special OBSF-30RG in vermillion color for the Hori Real Arcade Pro Special Addition (yes that is the correct spelling). That button was never sold to the public.

If you want ALL black buttons, you will have to go with Seimitsu or put in a special order which the minimum is something ridiculous like 10,000 pieces.

that's vaguely retarded on Sanwa's part.

Now I know my HRAP2 SA is even more special though.

for something as insignificant as a start button i cant imagine anyone debating the merits of sanwa/seimitsu. just get the color you need from whoever makes it.;)

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone not just getting Seimitsus if they really want black. That said, I just don't know why Sanwa wouldn't make an all black button. Makes really no sense to me personally. I think the black/grey are pretty ugly.

I guess it's possible that many CPs are dark or black in color and maybe they didn't think it would be worthwhile to make a black button?

In any case, they still have a gray like you said...which in a way negates my argument haha

I never used Seimitsu buttons, though I have Seimitsu sticks on my Astro. How are their push buttons?

I'm modding a CPS Fighter stick and 24mms are the only buttons that fit. Same with old style neo sticks. So, FWIW... I'd rather have the option of black sanwas.

Personally I like Seimitsu buttons a lot, probably just a tad better than Sanwa. Both companies make top quality product though, Seimitsu is just my personal preference. Plus Seimitsu has those super cool bubble ball tops:buttrock:
