a friend of mine has a sharp image 25" monitor. the only model number i could find on it is 25" KTMF RCA-1. the serial number is 980503689 (whatever good that is) and the tube is marked RCA A63ADT25X01. it says it was made in 99.

it looks like it was in a raiden DX since the title screen is pretty prominently burnt in, for what its worth.

anyway. it came with no remote board. when we tried turning it on, nothing happened. as if it wasnt plugged in at all. the a/c terminals arent market at all as far as which one is hot/neutral. i found a schematic of another sharp image monitor and made my best guess. i tried swapping it too, same deal. the fuse is fine, nothing looks burnt, blown, or otherwise damaged.

would no remote board cause it to just not turn on at all? anyone know where to get one, and if not, would a replacement chassis be viable?

i've tried googling for information but i keep getting results for sharper image.

this is very close to, if not exactly, what the chassis looks like.

Thats exactly the monitor I have.

I am replacing my chassis because of small problems with it.

I'll give you mine for cheap once I replace it.

It displays no green and horizontal sweep problems every once in a while (the no green can most likely be fixed by new transistors).

EDIT: The remote board you speak of is the little thing in the lower left corner of your picture?

I'll just sell you that if necessary.

how are you plugging that thing in? I wouldn't mess around with wall A/C if that thing needs an iso transformer.
